Gil “Butch” Carrungay is a fashion designer genius who, at age seven, started designing his first best selling pieces. Until now, those accessories he design remains a hit in the market. His clients not only comprise of Filipino people but also Europeans, Americans, British and Japanese.

He is also the brain of “Avatar Accessories Incorporated” as well as do the designing and marketing of the products. He took over the business from his father’s hand with the intention of rebuilding it to fit the modern needs of Filipinos as well as the global market.

His designs are unique, multi-textured and very intricate which made them a success in the local and global markets. His customers love his jewellery products and continuously patronizing his creations.

In an interview, Gild discloses that his style is eclectic with inspirations from different cultures, periods and architecture and interior designs. He thinks that jewellery and accessories are an essential part of every outfit. It can even become a highlight and focal point of your ensembles. He is a multi-awarded designer and a pride of the Filipino. Some of the awards he receives from his collections are:

the “Ina” that won the Swarovski Fashion Jewellery Design Competition
