Philippine Clothes

What we wear affects greatly on what people think of us. Maybe at first glance people fail to deduce our real character, but the clothes we wear tell more than one hopes for. In life there are many choices you could do either to buy the ready to wear clothes or choose the designer labels. There are pro’s and cons in either way, of course,  but designer brands are made for people who do not like hassles.

We know that finding the right items at an affordable prices can be tedious but this designer labels have it all for you at one stop. That is the beauty of patronizing a branded level though not all people are privileged enough to avail such luxuries. I have reviewed some of the top Filipino designers in the fashion industry that have made its mark not just in the Philippines but also in the international scene.

Monique Lhuillier

Monique Lhuillier is a well-known fashion designer based in the United States. She founded her company along side her husband Tom Bugbee which specializes in wedding dress. As it turn out, it was well-received by the elites and celebrities in the United States. Her first design was during her own wedding when she herself was having a hard time choosing a right gown. Thus, it started her journey as a wedding designer and later branch out into evening gowns. Her designs are elegant, feminine and luxuriously beautiful thus gaining her a wide array of Top A celebrity clientèle. She will have a homecoming début to showcase her designs to the Filipinos for a charity cause. The event will be held in Shangrila, Makati on November 12, 2008.

Pepsi Herrera

Another Filipino designer that makes beautiful gown is Pepsi Herrera. He always tries to create gowns that will incorporate the personality of the client. His style is elegant, simple but very sexy. He tries to hide the bulges and problematic area at the same time highlight the beautiful assets of the client’s body. Beautiful gowns are not too elaborate and full of bead-works because in Frederick’s opinion simplicity creates beautiful pieces that are timeless. When making a wedding gown, he always tried to get to know the bride before creating his sketch so that the result will show the bride’s personality. His evening gowns are also very stunning pieces worn by celebrities and socialites in the country.
